2005 Redesdale Estate Shiraz

Regular price $60.00 Sale

Has developed serenely over the past seven-plus years; the hue is a healthy red purple with no hint of brick, and plum, black cherry and spice still drive the medium-bodied palate. The oak and tannins are an integral part of the flavour and mouth-feel - but do not challenge the fruit. A lovely developed Australian red. February 2013, rating 5 stars, drink by 2025

Northern Rhone characters, spicy, brambly, high toned with intense natural acidity, graphite edge, plum… a very pure style. Tasted October 2013

Savoury, meaty notes. Shows some wonderful herbal lifted tones on the nose. Blue fruit becomes obvious as the wine opens up. Palate is soft and alluring, with a luscious mouth-feel, blueberry and talc. Tannins dominate; a brilliant long acid palate carries the fruit and flavour profile for a wonderful length. April 2014
