2015 Helen's Hill Breachley Block Single Vineyard Chardonnay
2015 Helen’s Hill Estate Breachley Block Single Vineyard Yarra Valley Chardonnay
James Halliday, The Weekend Australian. March 12th 2016 Mainly from the best two clones, P58 and Mendoza. Hallmark length of flavour on the palate, but not at the expense of complexity. A classic assemblage of white peach, grapefruit and oak-derived cashew tightly woven; flinty acidity on the finish. 12.8% alc; screwcap. 95 points;
Gary Walsh, Winefront. June 20th 2016 Subtle and subdued style. Lime and lemon curd, touch of struck match, spiced vanilla and cashew. Well mannered, light in impact with a gentle gloss and nutty flavour in with the white peach and citrus. Finish is crisp and pretty long, with some flint and vanilla perfume. This will look better again with another year in bottle. 93+ points.
Huon Hooke, The Real Review. 12/7/2016 Nutty, faintly butterscotch-like aroma, nougat too. The palate is soft and fruity, slightly sweet and grapy, not too complex. There are very subtle background winemaking complexities but fruit drives the wine. Good balance and drinkability. 90pt
