Light golden in the glass, the nose an array of cloves, pear, marzipan, honey dew and orange zest. A substantial and powerful palate, initially smooth rounded stone-fruit, progressing to a core of chalky phenolic, expanding into a very long pure finish. Wonderful now, especially with food, or age for four plus years.
