Gibson The Dirtman Shiraz 2021
Early temperatures in October and November were below average giving slow development. Cool dry ripening conditions later combined with low yields led to good varietal expression in Shiraz in both Eden Valley and Barossa. The tendency was for slightly lower alcohol and stylish elegance.
The fruit driven palate is medium weight, displaying great balance and lively fruit characters while still soft and generous. The palate finishes harmoniously with spicy dark chocolate berry flavours supported by long lingering tannins.
Deep opaque red with purple hue.
Lifted complex stonefruit and spice characters on the nose with interesting notes of smoky oak and blackcurrant.
The palate is lively, well balanced medium weight soft round and fruit driven. The finish is harmonious and long, leaving spicy dark chocolate and stone-fruit flavours lingering on the palate.
